When you subscribe: your email address, your name if you choose to give it, your answers to any polls or surveys we run, which emails you've agreed to receive, and a record of your consent (when you gave it, where, and the wording you were shown).
When you read our emails or visit the site: whether an email was delivered, opened, and which links were clicked, plus your IP address, approximate location, device information and how you found us. Our newsletter platform collects this automatically, and we tell you about it when you subscribe.

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your information.
With your consent:
sending you The Management Advantage newsletter, which includes promotional content about Mantage's products and services;
giving you access to the free resource library as a subscriber benefit, as part of the subscription you asked for;
measuring how our emails perform (opens and clicks), so we can improve what we write.
Because it's needed for a contract with you:
processing and delivering a purchase, and providing anything you've paid for.
Because the law requires it:
keeping financial records of purchases.
For our legitimate interests:
measuring how pages on our website are used, to understand which content is useful (subject to your cookie choices);
replying to an enquiry you've sent us.
We will never make something you've paid for conditional on agreeing to marketing emails.We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
We share your information only with the service providers who help us run the newsletter, website and business, and only as far as they need it:
beehiiv, Inc. — hosts our website and newsletter, stores subscriber data and sends our emails.
Stripe — processes card payments, if you buy something.
Our accountants — receive purchase and financial records needed to meet our legal obligations.
Each acts on our instructions under a contract that requires them to protect your data. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
beehiiv and Stripe are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the UK. For beehiiv, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum issued by the ICO, which are written into our agreement with beehiiv. These require your information to receive an equivalent level of protection to that in the UK.
Subscriber details: for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list only so that we don't email you again by mistake.
Consent records: for as long as we need to be able to show that you consented, and for a reasonable period after you withdraw.
Purchase records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
Enquiries: for as long as the conversation is active, then deleted within two years unless it leads to a working relationship.
You have the right to:
ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information;
ask us to restrict how we use it;
